Marquis Barnett, a 6-foot-7 1/2, 230-pound power forward/center from Cardozo High School in Bayside, New York, had a solid year for head coach Ron Naclerio and his boy's basketball team.
RON NACLERIO ON MARQUIS BARNETT'S INDIVIDUAL GAME AND REGULAR SEASON:
"He is much more confident this season. He has more post moves and is better defensively. He's been better offensively over the past couple of weeks. He is becoming more confident with the basketball in the low post."
MARQUIS BARNETT'S RECRUITING PROCESS:
"Quinnipiac, St. Francis of Pennsylvania and Marist have been showing interest in him," said Naclerio, who said his player is wide open in his recruiting process.
SEASON STATISTICS:
Barnett averaged over six points, 13 rebounds and seven blocks per game in the 2010-2011 season.
