Guard Prospect Having Good Year So Far

Reporter Mike Sullivan takes a look at the individual game of a lead guard prospect and an underclassman who is already landing some early division one interest in his skill level ...

Cameron Heywood, a 5-foot-7 point guard prospect from the tri-state New York/New Jersey area, continues to have a very good year for his basketball team.

A member of the 2015 class, Cameron has plenty of time to mature physically and make improvements in his individual game.

Cameron competes for Paramus Catholic High School of New Jersey.

From Spring Valley, New York, Heywood is a quick guard that can break a defense down with his dribble and possesses skilled hands on defense, too.

Quinnipiac has already shown early interest.

LOOKING AT CAMERON HEYWOOD'S INDIVIDUAL BASKETBALL GAME:

Heywood is a solid three point shooter who has good leadership skills. As he matures physically, his skill level will rise as will his consistency in running the offense.

He has competed effectively in AAU competition and in the IS8 spring and fall leagues.
