Area Guard Prospect Produces Fine Season

Posted Mar 7, 2012

Reporter Mike Sullivan provides a free, detailed look at the individual game and regular season progress of a hard-working lead guard prospect from the state of New Jersey ...

Cameron Heywood, a 5-foot-7 point guard prospect from the tri-state New York/New Jersey area, produced a solid season for his basketball team.

A member of the 2015 class, Cameron still does have ample time to mature physically and make improvements in his individual game on both sides of the ball.

Cameron competes for Paramus Catholic High School of New Jersey.

From Spring Valley, New York, Heywood is a quick guard that can break a defense down with his dribble and possesses skilled hands on defense, too.

Quinnipiac has already shown early interest.

Heywood is a solid three point shooter who has good leadership skills. As he matures physically, his skill level will rise as will his consistency in running the offense.

He has competed effectively in AAU competition and in the IS8 spring and fall leagues.
