Offer No. 1 in for Ortiz

Jeremiah Ortiz

Jeremiah Ortiz has scat-back talent that has produced several solid seasons for Eastridge High in Rochester, New York - but recruiting was slow to follow. However, a breakthrough happened late Monday night.

"Central Connecticut State offered me!," said Jeremiah Ortiz late Monday night.

The Rochester (N.Y.) Eastridge senior running back has been waiting for his initial offer for some time. He performed well at camps, produced on the field with 1,000-yard seasons - but no program extended him until Monday.

To say the 5-foot-8, 175-pounder was relieved with his first offer would be an understatement. With Central Conn. State on board, he's going to focus some attention there.

"They have a good art programs," said Ortiz. "I'm going to set up a visit soon."

The news multiplied for Ortiz recently, as he was selected to the NUC All-American game in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on December 22.

The process is still young for the senior, so stay on for the latest surrounding him. Take a look at Ortiz's senior highlight tape below.
