Tottenville High (Staten Island, N.Y.) running back Augustus Edwards decommitted from Syracuse and is looking at Miami and Florida State. He gave his thoughts on both schools, and the in-home visits both head coaches made.

Tottenville High (Staten Island, N.Y.) running back Augustus Edwards de-committed from Syracuse on Thursday and will make his decision between Florida State and Miami.

However, Edwards isn't sure when that decision will be made.

"I should know more Monday," the 6-foot-1, 200-pound Edwards said.

That is because Edwards will have returned from his official visit to Miami, which comes two weeks after he traveled to Florida State for an official visit.

It will be Edwards' first trip to Coral Cables, Fla., and comes after Hurricanes coach Al Golden and Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher had in-home visits with Edwards on the same day.

"I want to meet the rest of the coaching staff at Miami," Edwards said. "This is going to be my first time there and I want to see the campus and the classrooms, and what the players are like and things like. The coaches tell me I'm really going to like."

The visit to Miami comes after Golden made an impressive home visit last week.

"He came in with a game plan," Edwards said. "He told me a lot about the program and where they were heading. It was a good first-time meeting."

Edwards also said his home visit with Fisher went well.

"It was my father's first time meeting him so he was excited to see him," Edwards said. "He had an opportunity to see what he had to offer and build a relationship with him."

Edwards is not naming a leader from the two.
