Theo Davis Could Wait Until Next Spring

Theo Davis has opened up his recruiting process

Theo Davis, a 6-foot-10 center from Cardozo High School in Bayside, New York, is likely to take some campus trips before making a decision. But, as of today, his coach, Ron Naclerio, couldn't tell you where Davis might take visits to and when he might take them.

Davis recently opened up his recruiting process after verbally committing to Texas during the July evaluation period. "Theo could either sign with Texas in the Fall," Naclerio said. "Or wait until the Spring. Both are possible."

If Davis waits until the Spring, it's likely his list will have a different look. There had been previous interest from schools like South Florida, St. John's, Seton Hall, and Syracuse before Davis committed to Rick Barnes' program. However, don't count on some of the previous list to hold steady. It's likely some schools won't pursue Davis while some new programs try to jump into the recruiting process.

"It's really up in the air now," Naclerio said. "Theo felt he rushed his decision. He could still end up at Texas or could wait until after our season is over. Anything's possible."

Davis has already proven Naclerio correct on that statement.
