Two New Yorkers help The Winchendon School to victory

Two key New Yorkers played big parts in helping Winchendon School upend Our Savior New American 78-61 at an event in Rhode Island run by Scout.com's Jeff Goodman.

Greg Washington, a 6-foot-9 center who has committed to Hofstra, scored 11 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. His teammate, Darius Gabriel (just a sophomore), added six assists to help Winchendon of Massachusetts to the win.

Gabriel previously played at Bishop Loughlin in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Our Savior fell behind 44-22 at the half and could never muster up enough points to close the gap seriously. Tyvon Williams, much improved from a year ago, led OSNA with 17 points and five assists.

Tim Ambrose, the athletic guard for OSNA, added 16 points and four rebounds. OSNA will play again today at the event in Rhode Island.
