The 2006 Roundball Classic, which started in 1965 in Pittsburgh, Pa., will be played on Sunday, April 9th in Chicago, Ill. at the United Center. Six players from New York & New Jersey will be in action. The game, which features four of the recruits from Scout.com's number two class, will be carried by CSTV (tape).

A charity benefits from this annual event. Hoops That Help has raised more than $4 million for local organizations around the country.
Six players from New and New Jersey will participate - Derrick Caracter, Earl Clark, Paul Harris, Eugene Harvey, Curtis Kelly and Lance Thomas. Harvey, a Brooklyn native, is playing in New Jersey.
St. Benedict's Prep head coach Danny Hurley will coach the East squad. Two of his players (Harvey and Thomas) will be on the floor though Thomas will play against the East.
Two high school programs have two players on the teams. Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis, Ind. has sent Michael Conley II and Greg Oden. This season, Caracter and Harris played at Notre Dame Prep in Massachusetts.
Conley and Oden are two of the four Ohio State recruits selected to play. Also part of Scout.com's number two recruiting class are Daequan Cook and David Lightly. All four are playing for the West.
Alex Stephenson represents Scout.com's number one recruiting class, North Carolina.
Also on the East team with Stephenson is Kentucky-bound Perry Stevenson.
Two teams each have two recruits in the game - Carracter and Clark (Louisville) and Damion James and Scottie Reynolds (Oklahoma).
Five players have yet to announce their final intentions for next season - Darrell Arthur, Patrick Beverley, Harvey, Chris Singletary and Thomas.
