Looking to bolster their backcourt, Quinnipiac secured a commitment from a proven commodity in Northeast Conference circles this week when 6-foot-2 guard DeMario Anderson of Globe Institute of Technology in New York City pledged to Coach Joe DeSantis' program, according to sources close to the situation.
Anderson attended Central Connecticut as a freshman and a sophomore, averaging 14.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.0 assists during the 2004-2005 campaign. He is currently shoring up his academic requirements at Globe. He did not play for Coach Ken Wilcox this winter, and retains two years of eligibility.
Anderson is a graduate of Oxon Hill High School in the Washington, D.C. suburbs.
