Scout.com reporter Mike Sullivan of the High School New York/New Jersey website has the latest information on a very talented guard from the 2008 class that competed over the summer for the New York City Gauchos ...

There is a lot to like about the individual game of Jordan Theodore, a 6-foot guard who hails from Paterson Catholic High School in New Jersey. Theodore spent some time this summer competing for the New York City Gauchos 16 and 17 and under AAU team.

The Gauchos 16 and under team won several tournament championships, including the Five Star Hoop Classic, the Rumble in the Bronx, and the Peach Jam.

Theodore also played well while down in Orlando, Florida at the Super Showcase. He displayed the ability to score from anywhere on the court and against tough and older competition.

Gauchos head coach Billy Lovett has been a big fan of Theodore too. "He had a tremendous summer," Lovett said. "He led the Peach Jam in scoring and helped us to the championship."

A 2008 prospect, Theodore is likely to receive plenty of high major interest over the next year. "I have heard from Kansas, Gonzaga, Seton Hall, Georgetown, Illinois, Arizona, St. John's and Cincinnati," Lovett said.

Jordan is wide open in his recruiting process. He's worth watching over the next several months as he prepares for his high school season.
