Rashad Green has consistently proven he is worthy of a division one scholarship. The question regarding Green's recruiting process is how high of an offer would he receive.
As reported on this network a couple of times, Green plans on attending North Carolina State next season. The 6-foot-4 swingman, who played last season at St. Mary's High School in Manhasset, New York, is currently trying to polish his overall game at Bridgton Academy in Maine under one of the country's top coaches -- Whit Lesure.
"He's looked good so far in the workouts," Lesure said. "He has really impressed me with his shooting. He has really shot it well so far since he has been here."
Rashad's perimeter game is being closely watched. Green is a very good athlete, a lefty who can get up and down the court rather quickly. He can finish well in transition too. So if his perimeter game becomes more polished, more consistent, NC State will have a solid contributer aboard.
"I have been impressed with his skills," Lesure said. "It's a long season. So we have to see how it goes."
Bridgton plays a very competitive schedule. So Green will be tested against some of the best players on the prep level. So it will give Green and NC State an opportunity to see how his game progresses before he plays his college basketball.
"He just has to work hard like everyone else," Lesure said. "We'll help him out in whatever way we can."
