Reporters Mike Sullivan and Brian Towey have story on Zack Rosen's verbal comitment ...

Zack Rosen, a 6-foot, 170-pound lead guard from St. Bendict's High School in Newark, New Jersey, gave a verbal commitment to Pennsylvania. "It was a great combination of academics and athletics for him," said one of the New York Elite coaches Eric Jaklitsch.

Rosen and his family have been to Pennsyvlania a few times unofficially. He also had some interest from Rutgers, Iowa State, William & Mary, Washington State, Georgetown, Virginia Tech, Stanford, Gonzaga, and Seton Hall.

"He is a coach on the floor," Jaklitsch said. "He hustles and plays hard all the time. He is going to be a great player for Pennsylvania."

Jaklitsch also said: "He has deceptive speed and quickness."

Rosen is a gritty and tough lead guard. The lefty has the ability to dart past defenders too and kick the ball out to open teammates.
