It appears James Padgett may stay at Xaverian High School ...

The New York Post reports that big man James Padgett of Xaverian High School in Brooklyn, New York will remain with Jack Alesi's basketball program for this upcoming season.

There have been some speculation floating around the New York City area that Padgett would join his now ex-Xaverian teammate, Patrick Jackson, by transferring out of the highly regarded Catholic League basketball program.

According to Dan Martin's article in the New York Post, Alesi is quoted as saying Padgett told him he would be back to play for Xaverian as a junior in the 2007-2008 season.

Padgett is considered a high quality prospect in the 2009 class and has many Big East programs watching his progress in his individual game, including Rutgers, Seton Hall, Syracuse, and St. John's.
