Reporter Mike Sullivan updates the recruiting status of Josh Elbaum ...

Josh Elbaum, a 6-foot-4, 185-pound backcourt player from St. John The Baptist High School in West Islip, New York, has some serious division one recruiting interest, according to St. John The Baptist assistant coach Jim Plate.

Plate told us that Davidson is among a few schools showing extensive recruiting interest in Elbaum's individual game. Elbaum remains open in his recruiting process.

Josh is a player to watch over the next year. St. John The Baptist plays a tough schedule and Elbaum has proven he is worth watching this season as a rising junior.

Plate previously told us that Josh is a terrific student too, further increasing his chances of landing a quality division one scholarship.

Previously, Plate stated that Josh had some contact also from Niagara.
