CTK Forward Makes A Decision

Reporters Frank Mantesta and Brian Towey have the story ...

Ryan Pearson, a 6-foot-6 forward from Christ The King High School in Middle Village, New York, made a verbal commitment over the weekend to George Mason.

Pearson confirmed this with our reporters today at IS8 where Team Odom was in action in a playof game. As reported by Mike Sullivan of this website, Pearson had expected to visit George Mason this weekend for the Midnight Madness celebration. It went well. And so the commitment followed.

Besides George Mason, Pearson had mentioned interest in Massachusetts, Manhattan, Iona, and Stony Brook.

Below is an evaluation of Ryan Pearson's game by Frank Mantesta:

Ryan's strengths are his mid-range game. He is a great passer. He has good handle for his size and good rotation on shot.

The areas he needs to improve is he could add some more strength to his game which would help him to score more consistently around the basket.
