PLAYER PROFILE UPDATE: Leek Leek

HEIGHT: 6-foot-6

WEIGHT: 192 Pounds

POSITION: Power Forward/Small Forward

CLASS: A current junior, the 2009 class

HIGH SCHOOL: Our Savior New American in Centereach, New York

HIGH SCHOOL HEAD COACH: Rev. Ron Stelzer

HIGH SCHOOL ASSISTANT COACHES: Bob Bass and Eric Jaklitsch

AAU PROGRAM: New York Elite

AAU HEAD COACHES: Chris Phillips and Eric Jaklitsch

EVALUATION: A terrific athlete, Leek Leek is a player in the process of making himself a more well-rounded player. He has worked very hard on his perimeter game, trying to improve his touch from 12-15 feet. Leek is also in the progress of improving his ballhandling skills.

If these two areas are improved over the next couple of years, then this young athlete will have a chance to play high division one basketball because of his athletic skills. He plays much bigger than his size, is learning the craft of shotblocking too, keeping the ball in play and getting it to teammates.

Leek is just 16 years old. So look out for this young athlete. We will keep you posted on his progress.
