St. Raymond's basketball program is recognized on a national level as one of the best in the country. Head coach Oliver Antigua is a tremendous leader who knows the game of basketball. He's a hard worker too and it shows in his teams year in and year old.

He has a gifted guard this season in Darryl Bryant, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound guard from St. Raymond's High School in the Bronx, N.Y. Bryant is committed to West Virginia.

Bryant has the ability score points from anywhere on the court. When his game is on, there is little any team can do to defend his skills.

Bryant was a big reason last season in helping St. Raymond's make their impressive playoff run through the Catholic League playoffs. This season, Antigua is relying upon him to put up more points and provide leadership.

The 2008 prospect is likely to be an impact guard down the road in the Big East. At last Sunday's NIKE Super Six matchup against St. Patrick of New Jersey, Bryant recorded 17 points in the Ravens' tough 64-56 loss.

Bryant is receiving solid coaching on the high school level too which should help his individual game progress along over the next few months. His strong frame allows "Truck" to overwhelm guards in the low post too, causing mismatches. He uses it smartly to his advantage.
