Considered one of the better players in his class, Doron Lamb demonstrated why so many division one programs are already recruiting him. Lamb produced 18 points to help Bishop Loughlin maul an undermanned All Hallows High School squad, 89-50, in a game held at St Francis Prep. With the victory, Bishop Loughlin will challenge Christ The King High School in a semifinal game to be held at St. John's University on Wednesday night. Lamb scored 12 of his 18 points in the fist half to lead the big victory. Lamb is being recruited by St. John's, Louisville, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Xavier, Georgia Tech, and Connecticut. Loughlin got balanced scoring too. Trevon Hamlet added 17 points, much of his scoring coming around the rim. Drexel recruit Kevin Phillip was a force on the inside with 13 rebounds and five monsterous dunks off the offensive glass. He finished the game with 16 points. Devon Elliot came off the bench for the winners and was very productive, chipping in with nine points. It was a complete team effort. "I liked our focus," said Loughlin head coach Khalid Greene. "They went out with a work man like approach and with a lot of respect for our opponent." They will need that approach and the balanced attack against Christ The King. "Against Christ The King you know what you're up against. You have to contain Ryan (Pearson) and Erving (Walker) but it is not easy. They are really good. No surprise there."
