PLAYER PROFILE UPDATE: Durand Scott HEIGHT: 6-foot-5 WEIGHT: 180 Pounds HIGH SCHOOL: Rice High School in New York City HIGH SCHOOL HEAD COACH: Maurice Hicks CLASS: 2009, A Current Junior POSITIONS: Small Forward/Shooting Guard SCHOOLS OF INTEREST: Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, Connecticut, Seton Hall, Miami, Memphis, Xavier, Rutgers, Arizona, Florida, Florida State, North Carolina, St. John's, West Virginia, and Providence STRENGTHS IN DURAND SCOTT'S INDIVIDUAL GAME: Scott has great balance in his offensive game. In the CHSAA playoffs, he showed the ability to drain the three-pointer as well as finish around the basket against the bigger bodies. The next six months are big for Scott too in his recruiting process. He will be heavily counted on next season to keep Rice among the best in the CHSAA.
