Reporter Mike Sullivan has a story update on Durand Scott ...

PLAYER PROFILE UPDATE: Durand Scott

HEIGHT: 6-foot-5

WEIGHT: 180 Pounds

HIGH SCHOOL: Rice High School in New York City

HIGH SCHOOL HEAD COACH: Maurice Hicks

CLASS: 2009, A Current Junior

POSITIONS: Small Forward/Shooting Guard

SCHOOLS OF INTEREST: Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, Connecticut, Seton Hall, Miami, Memphis, Xavier, Rutgers, Arizona, Florida, Florida State, North Carolina, St. John's, West Virginia, and Providence

STRENGTHS IN DURAND SCOTT'S INDIVIDUAL GAME: Scott has great balance in his offensive game. In the CHSAA playoffs, he showed the ability to drain the three-pointer as well as finish around the basket against the bigger bodies.

The next six months are big for Scott too in his recruiting process. He will be heavily counted on next season to keep Rice among the best in the CHSAA.
