MIKE SULLIVAN'S UPDATE: Ryan Pearson has been mentioned favorably by many media outlets in the New York City area recently. Television reporter Mike Quick said Pearson was a steal for George Mason. National talent scout Tom Konchalski praised the lefty's improvement over the past year and stated he thought Ryan would fit in well at George Mason.
Ryan has demonstrated the ability to score on both sides of the class on his drives to the basket. His jumper is much improved and his confidence has been elevated after his terrific senior season. Pearson will play in the Michael Jordan regional All Star game held in a few weeks at Madison Square Garden. We will have updates on April 19th along with the game story here on this website.
FRANK MANTESTA'S PREVIOUS EVALUATION OF RYAN PEARSON'S GAME: Ryan's strengths are his mid-range game. He is a great passer. He has good handle for his size and good rotation on shot.
The areas he needs to improve is he could add some more strength to his game which would help him to score more consistently around the basket.
