Daye Kaba, a 6-foot-4, 215-pound combo guard and sophomore has received his release from Boston College and will transfer, according to Eric Jaklitsch, one of his former AAU and high school coaches. Kaba, a native of Ermont, France, appeared in seven games this season, averaging 2.4 minutes, 0.6 points, and 0.6 rebounds. Kaba played his prep ball for coach Ron Stelzer at Our Savior New American in Centereach N.Y., after arriving in the United States in August of 2004. The athletic finisher was a standout for New York Elite on the AAU circuit, coached by Chris Phillips and Jaklitsch. Kaba originally chose Boston College over USC and Pittsburgh. |
