An update on the sophomore forward Myron Respress ...

Myron Respress, a 6-foot-7 forward from Niagara Falls High School in Niagara Falls, New York, is a sophomore to watch over the next few months. Respress recently impressed Scout's National expert Dave Telep at the King James event.

Telep said: "Far and away the most competitive kid we saw Friday night. His team was down big and he wasn’t about to stand for it. He’s active around the rim, has a body he can grow into and will battle inside. He’s probably 6-7 and pushing two bills so there’s room to grow."

Respress is a member of the 2010 class. While his game is still a work in progress, he is a tremendous athlete who plays hard at both ends of the court.

Big East schools are already keeping an eye on him as well as many division one schools on the East Coast. While the coaching staff at Niagara Falls High School say it's early in his recruiting process, Myron might be a player that could elevate his status with a great summer.

AREA OF IMPROVEMENT: The ability to shoot the short and medium range jumper. He needs to improve his consistency on defense as well.
