Reporter Mike Sullivan has the update on Teeng Akol and his situation ...

A report in the St. Petersburg Times in Florida stated that former Our Savior New American forward Teeng Akol could not get admitted to South Florida.

The newspaper report said Akol is looking at several other schools and that that West Virginia, UNLV, Fresno State, and Missouri are interested.

PREVIOUS EVALUATION:
Akol, a 6-foot-10, 225-pound power forward who was at IMG Academy this past season, was reclassified to the class of 2008, is a player who has nice size but also possesses some solid skills. He has the skill to score with his perimeter game too.

However, this area of his individual game needs to be more consistent to eventually become an impact player on the division one level.

Akol, who previously played AAU ball for Eric Jaklitsch and Chris Phillips for the New York Elite AAU program, had received some solid division one interest from schools like West Virginia, Houston, and DePaul.
