Reporter Brian Towey has the latest on Will Harris ...

Will Harris, the 6-foot-6, 245-pound guard/forward out of Corona, N.Y., will transfer from Virginia to Albany, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.

Harris appeared in 15 games during an injury-shortened sophomore season in 2007-2008, averaging 2.7 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. He played in all 32 of the Cavaliers' games as a freshman, averaging 3.6 points and 3.2 rebounds.

A former standout at Brewster (N.H.) Academy and Maine Central Institute, Harris has spent time in the Albany area before, attending Redemption Christian Academy in Troy, N.Y., for a stint. Harris spent his freshman and sophomore years at Christ the King High School in Middle Village, N.Y.

Harris will have two years of eligibility remaining.
