Albany, a member of the America East Conference, signed a trio of players in the fall 2007 and another three this past spring. The early signees are preps; the latter group from the junior college ranks, two with roots in New York.
The most renowned newbie, Will Harris (Corona, NY), joins the Great Danes after two seasons at the University of Virginia. He averaged 2.7 points and 2.5 rebounds last season but missed the last 14 games due to an injury.
He prepped at Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, Maine Central Institute and Redemption Christian in Troy, N.Y. after spending his first two seasons at Christ the King High School in Middle Village, N.Y. Harris, who will be eligible for play in 2009-10, considered Marist, New Hampshire, and Northeastern before choosing UA.
