Upstate Prospect Can Help Team Win Many Ways

Reporter Mike Sullivan provides a free look at the individual game of Pat Moore, a 2010 upstate prospect who was very impressive competing at some high profile events during the summer AAU tournaments ...

It was before the spring that Albany City Rocks head coach Jim Hart told us in an interview about how excited he was to have a player like Pat Moore on his team.

Moore, a 6-foot-5 forward from Notre Dame High School in Utica, N.Y., was especially impressive during the summer AAU sessions, including the events the Rocks participated in at Disney World in July.

After Moore showed the college coaches during the evaluation period that he deserves consideration for division one offers, Hart stated a familiar phase he heard during the summer: "He knows how to finish a game ..."

By finishing a game, Hart meant that if Moore was put on the foul line to hit some important free throws, Pat delivered. If a clutch rebound was needed in traffic, Moore was there to stabilize the glass for the Rocks.

The 2010 junior prospect is also a very good baseball player, opening up more options for his future.

But, according to Hart, Fordham, Rhode Island, Fairfield, Colgate, Harvard, Cornell, and Jacksonville are among the early school interest for Moore.
