Reporter Mike Sullivan has a free look at the individual game of Josh Elbaum, who competes for St. John The Baptist in West Islip, New York ...

Josh Elbaum, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound point guard/combo guard from St. John the Baptist High School in West Islip, N.Y., has consistently shown us here on this website that he has many assets as a prospect.

The 2009 senior had some attractive offers to play basketball and land a big time quality education but Josh is looking to perhaps play at a higher level than he is currently being recruited at so far this year.

Not interested in Navy, he saw Lehigh move on after landing a commitment. Northeastern and Yale are also showing interest in Elbaum's individual game, which ranges from taking the ball to the basket, defending, rebounding, or making a nifty pass to an open teammate.

Reporter Brian Towey stated in his last report that Elbaum could tkae a prep year. Below is Brian's scouting report.

TOWEY ON JOSH ELBAUM'S INDIVIDUAL GAME: A big, rangy point guard with good vision and a feel for the game, Elbaum takes care of the ball and makes good decisions. He is a strong defender on the ball.

Elbaum, who plays for Jim Plate at St. John the Baptist, runs with the Long Island-based Rising Stars in AAU.
