UPDATE: Tamir Jackson wants to get stronger and more consistent in his offensive game. "I would like to work on all parts of my game," he said in a previous interview.
Being able to shoot the jumper is important part of his progress over the next several months as he prepares to play college basketball for the 2009-2010 season.
Being a more effective ballhandler, taking the ball to the basket to open up a defense for his teammates, is also something Tamir would like to make some strides in this year.
PREVIOUS EVALUATION OF TAMIR JACKSON'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:
STRENGTHS: Tamir seems to make sure he has a solid handle on the pumpkin when directing the offense. He plays on a team filled with many offensive players who have the ability to take over the game. He has a good first step, forcing his defender to backpeddle from time to time, allowing him to knock down some jumpers.
AREAS TO IMPROVE: The outside game. If Jackson is more consistent in his perimeter game, it will allow him even more opportunities to blow by defenders.
