Sophomore Forward Has Early D-1 Interest

Reporter Mike Sullivan has a detailed look at the individual game of Anthony Estes, a sophomore forward from Our Savior New American in Centereach, New York ...

Anthony Estes, a 6-6 1/2 inch forward from Our Savior New American in Centereach, New York, has progressed nicely under the Pioneers' coaching staff this season.

Estes, who has helped Rev. Ron Stelzer's team produce some solid victories over the second half of this season, is a workman-like inside forward who battles hard on the glass.

Anthony told us he is in the middle of making himself a better player on both sides of the ball.

WHAT ANTHONY ESTES WOULD LIKE TO IMPROVE IN OVER THE NEXT YEAR:

"I'm just trying to work on all parts of my individual game. I am trying to work on my shooting, my ballhandling, my defense whenever I can. Whenever I have a chance I work at it."

Estes, a member of the 2011 class, is a sophomore who has some decent early interest in his skill level. Obviously, we'll have a better idea who is serious by the time he starts his junior year next Fall.

Estes stated that Georgetown, Boston College, USC, Maryland, West Virginia, Purdue, and Miami have expressed some interest.
