"Jackie just committed to Illinois State at the beginning of April," said South Kent coach Kelvin Jefferson of the 2009 prospect.
"Jackie was recruited at a high level, with Seton Hall and Big 12 (Conference) schools showing interest, so Illinois State did a great job in getting it done."
The native Kansan's physicality is his best asset right now, according to Jefferson.
"Physically, he's ready to play for (Illinois St.) right now," said Jefferson. "He's got the body. I like my big guys to be athletic and to play above the rim, and he can do that, but he's got the strength (as well)."
