Nolan Hart, a 5-foot-10 guard from The Albany Academy in Albany, New York, has been a solid point producing backcourt player all year long for his high school team.
Nolan will rank as Abany Academy's all time leader in making three-pointers, including many of them during clutch moments.
Albany Academy has competed against 11 of the top 25 ranked teams in New York State and Hart has been in double figures in each of the first 17 games.
Facing tough defenders every night, Hart was named the Most Valuable Player of the Pioneer Bank Classic and the Rim Rocker Classic on Long Island. In addition, he was named to the all tournament team in two other events this season.
An excellent student, Hart has received interest and applied to three Ivy League schools. He is considering a chance to walk on at Syracuse, Notre Dame, Fordham, and Providence.
Hart leads his team in scoring with 19 points a game, steals at nearly two and a half a contest and burying three's (three per game).
A tough competitor who can hit the deep ball, he led the Albany area with three-pointers made on 50 percent shooting.
Considered a terrific student too, Nolan is hearing from several Ivy League basketball programs. Among the schools showing serious interest -- Dartmouth, Harvard, Columbia, and Pennsylvania.
