Albany City Rocks head coach Jim Hart has had many "big name" players compete for his quality AAU boy's basketball team over the past couple of decades. But one must never forget the players that make big contributions to the program.
Pat Moore is one player Hart will miss this summer when the Rocks play on the AAU circut.
WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT PAT MOORE'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:
Moore plays with a purpose. He is a clutch player who won't overdo a possession. A tremendous student too, Moore has accepted a steep academic challenge, signing with Colgate. He should be a solid impact player for this basketball program.
WHAT JIM HART SAYS ABOUT PAT MOORE'S FUTURE:
"He'll be an impact player there. He does so many things well. He can hit a jumper, grab a rebound, make a pass to free up a teammate. He does everything a coach asks for.
"Pat has always been there for us when the game was on the line. He's going to have a wonderful career at Colgate both athletically and academically."
PREVIOUS COLLEGE INTERESTS:
A 6-foot-6 combo forward from Notre Dame High School in Utica, N.Y., Pat previously had some early interest from Providence, Ivy League, MAAC, and Atlantic Ten schools.
PREVIOUS EVALUATION REGARDING PAT MOORE'S INDIVIDUAL BASKETBALL GAME:
A gifted athlete who seems to succeed in the most stressful sport challenges, Moore has the basketball smarts and skill level to help his teams win close contests.
