New Yorker Antonio Pena has a big second half to lead St. Thomas More to a victory

Antonio Pena, a 6-foot-8 forward from New York City, scored eight of his 14 points in the second half to lead St. Thomas More to a 61-58 victory over Fork Union Military Academy of Virginia.

Pena, who played for Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, N.Y. a couple of seasons ago, used his low-post skills in the second half to be a more effective offensive player.

Pena, who signed with Villanova University, also had 12 rebounds in the game. Antonio established himself as a low post presence in the second half to open up the offense more for Jere Quinn's program.

Siena bound Edwin Ubiles came off the bench to score 17 points for St. Thomas More. Ubiles is a 6-foot-6 forward who should make an impact for the Saints next season. Ubiles provided a great deal of energy off the bench to help the winners.

"Coach told me to work harder," Pena said of his talk with Quinn. "He told me to get some offensive rebounds and play my game."
