Became a Cardinal:
Contract purchased from the Slippery Rock Sliders of the Frontier League on June 15, 2007.

2008 Season
Pete got a little late start to the 2008 season, starting it parked on the Quad Cities DL. Before it was over, the former Indy pitcher was promoted to Palm Beach in early August. He finished the season with a combined won-loss record of 5-2 with a 2.24 ERA and 13 saves, while making 47 appearances, (36-QC & 11-PB), pitching 64.1 innings on the season.

Career Notes
After signing with the Cardinals in 2007, Parise threw four games for Johnson City (0-0, 2.08 ERA, 4.1IP) before finishing in Batavia (11G, 7GS, 3-3, 4.58, 37.1IP)
